The Great Singapore Sale returns from May 29 to July 26. Organised by the Singapore Retailers Association, the GSS has become a blockbuster event for shoppers in Singapore and the region.
But shoppers do not have to wait till the GSS starts to go bargain hunting. Quite a few major high street retailers are already offering early sales to attract shoppers.
Urban highlights 10 sales to check out.
1. Who: Dockers
Where: All Dockers outlets
What: From now until July 31, purchase any two Dockers pants, regularly priced at $129.90 each, for $149.90. You can also purchase three pairs of pants for $199.90.
2. Who: Goldheart Jewelry
Where: All Goldheart outlets
What: From now until the end of July, enjoy a new range of Goldheart jewellery at discounted prices. These new designs have been crafted to create a different look for every day, ranging from Optimistic Monday, which features necklaces in yellow gold, to Relaxing Sunday, which features nature-inspired, beehive rings.
Prices range from $178 for pearl earrings to $2283 for diamond accessories.
3. Who: Levi's
Where: All Levi's outlets
What: From now until June 30, enjoy $30 off regular priced apparel with minimum expenditure of $120. Get $60 off if you spend $200.
4. Who: New Look
Where: All New Look outlets
What: Get 40 per cent off selected clothing and bags when you purchase three pieces or more, and 30 per cent off when you purchase a minimum of two items.
5. Who: Orchard Gateway
Where: Orchard Gateway
What: From now until July 26, there are various promotions to celebrate Orchard Gateway's first anniversary. The first 1,688 to enter the mall could win a $150 shopping voucher. Customers who miss the cut can still participate in a sure-win lucky draw for a chance to fly to Milan, Seoul or Hong Kong.
6. Who: Robinsons
Where: Robinsons The Heeren, Robinsons Jem, and Robinsons Raffles City
What: From now until June 10, get up to a 70 per cent discount for ladies and men's wear, and up to a 50 per cent discount for accessories. Some departments are also offering gifts with purchases, such as a luxurious 3D/2N stay worth $1,280 at W Hotel Singapore with a minimum of $150 spent.
7. Who: Tangs
Where: Tangs Orchard and Tangs Vivocity
What: Tangs will be rolling out different discounts throughout the month of GSS. This weekend, from May 28 to June 1, you get $10 off with a minimum of $100 spend on selected fashion brands and a $20 gift voucher for beauty products with a minimum beauty expenditure of $200. There will also be a bed and bath sale with a 20 per cent + 10 per cent discount.
8. Who: Triumph
Where: All Triumph outlets
What: Buy three items and get one free, or buy five items and get two free, along with an additional $50 voucher. Alternatively, you can choose to shop online at www.sg.triumph.com to get 25 per cent off prices storewide with a minimum purchase of four items.
9. Who: UOB cardholders
What: From May 28, UOB credit and debit cardholders can get up to 15 per cent discounts on selected items from brands represented by Bluebell Singapore. These include Moschino, LOVE Moschino, Repetto, UGG Australia, Castaner, LeSportsac, Brunello Cucinelli and Orlebar Brown.
10. Who: Zalora
Where: www.zalora.sg
What: An early GSS with a 30 per cent discount at Zalora's Marketplace. Sales on Men's and Women's wear have also started with a wide variety of clothes and accessories going for a flat price of $25 each.
