Mandopop star Wang Lee Hom is now a daddy. The first-time father shared the news of the arrival of his daughter on his official Facebook page on Thursday.

The 38-year-old singer's joy was palpable in his Facebook post: "I've been waiting for you all my life. And now...here you are, early bird! Mother, daughter are both well! Thank you all for your blessings and best wishes!" he wrote.

He had announced in May at a party after his concert in Xi'an, China, that the couple were having a baby. The announcement came just five months after Wang shocked fans with his marriage to 27-year-old PhD student Michiko Nishimura, alias Li Jinglei, last November.
