Some Future Music Festival artists rescheduled to play at nightclubs here

Future Music Festival Asia (FMFA) may be cancelled, but party-goers here can still catch some of the DJs who are no longer able to perform at the dance music festival that was scheduled this weekend.

Nightclub Trace in Magazine Road has confirmed it has booked progressive trance duo Tenishia for Friday night.

Nightclub Bang Bang in Pan Pacific Singapore hotel has booked two FMFA DJs: Dutch big room house DJ Sander Van Doorn will helm the decks on Friday, and German deep house DJ and producer Robin Schulz will perform at the club on Saturday.

Organisers for Future Music Festival, which was meant to be held this weekend at Changi Exhibition Centre, were forced to cancel the event after they failed to obtain a public entertainment licence from the authorities.

Police said last week that the licence was not issued because of "serious concerns with potential drug abuse".

Last year, six concert-goers died from drug overdose at an FMFA event in Kuala Lumpur.
