A JAZZY CHRISTMAS: LET'S KEEP CHRISTMAS IN OUR HEARTS
One Christmas tradition jazz fans look forward to every year is the annual Yuletide gig by home-grown jazz vet Jeremy Monteiro. This year, for the 10th instalment, the man has fresh tracks from his latest release, Christmas In Our Hearts. He has also lined up a veritable who's who of the jazz scene here as his guests and these include renowned names such as singer Rani Singam, bassist Christy Smith and drummer Shawn Kelley, as well as international artists such as American singer Kenny Washington and saxophone player Tony Lakatos.

MUSIC FOR THE MIND
Support local music and a social cause at this event that aims to help raise awareness about mental illness through the universal language of music. Over the weekend, there will be a series of concerts by popular local live music acts, including acoustic duo Jack & Rai and Tabula, rock band Singapore Char Siew Bao! and singing duo ShiLi & Adi. Organised by Love Action Project, the concerts also aim to raise funds for the Singapore Association for Mental Health.

BASSIC PRESENTS BONOBO (DJ SET)
British musician, music producer and DJ Simon Green aka Bonobo returns to Singapore to spin at Zouk tomorrow night. He is one of the most promising dance music artists to have emerged in the past few years, producing cutting-edge electronica with complex basslines. His ranging personal tastes and regularly expanding range of synthesizers and instruments continue to take his productions to new levels.

SYSTEM FEAT ADDISON GROOVE
English music producer Addison Groove has been playing Chicago juke in his DJ sets for a while now and that influence comes into play in his sound, which blends drum machine beats, acid basslines and hip-hop and soul vocals. Since releasing his first single, Footcrab, in 2010, he has become a respected producer in the dance music scene. A must-see for anyone after a mix of dubstep, deep-house, drum and bass and juke rhythms.

SUPER 0 X CURATED RECORDS
Home-grown festival brand Super 0 is organising a vinyl swap special at local independent record store Curated Records with tunes provided by Zig Zach SG and Zul (Subvert HQ). Co-hosting the event are the guys from travelling music platform Red Bull Music Academy, who will be giving a taste of what festivalgoers can expect at the annual Super O Open Air fest next month. Bicycle enthusiasts can also enjoy test rides of selected bike models from Tokyobike Singapore at the event.
