SATURDAY ORIGINAL SESSIONS
Fresh from the release of their debut album Here Be Dragons, home-grown indie band Atlas are keeping themselves active on the gig circuit, performing tomorrow at Hood Bar as well as at Baybeats 2014, Singapore's biggest indie music festival, at the Esplanade later this month. The band, known for their layered mix of melody and multi-faceted arrangements, create ambient music off the beaten path.

THE GATHERING WITH RUSSIAN RED
Spanish folk singer-songwriter Lourdes Hernandez aka Russian Red returns to Singapore to perform tunes off her latest album Agent Cooper. She will entertain the crowd with her dreamy songs about the idea of love and relationships. Expect a fuller, more electric set too as she will perform as part of a four-piece band tonight.

100 BANDS FESTIVAL
In what is probably one of the most massive local music events here, this festival sees some of the best in the home-grown music scene taking the stage over three consecutive weekends. This second weekend will see acts such as veteran indie-rockers Monster Cat, Astreal and experimental rock act sub:shaman performing. sub:shaman will also be premiering their new film Outsider.

ELLIE GOULDING
British dance-pop sensation Ellie Goulding is back to perform her hits at the Star Theatre this weekend. Expect a high-energy set from the 27-year-old star, who is likely to perform favourites from her two albums Lights (2010) and Halcyon (2012), such as Burn, I Need Your Love and Anything Could Happen.
