A renowned guitarist in the local music scene and a world-renowned master of the loop machine, Randolf Arriola plays two sets at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre this Sunday. His gigs are part of the venue's weekend series dubbed Localised!, which will also feature indie rockers The Sets Band who play tonight and tomorrow, acclaimed finger-style guitarist Yan Neil Chan tonight and post-rock outfit Arajua tomorrow night.

TONES 2014

The fourth edition of the annual music festival organised by the students of the School of the Arts Singapore features nine bands, ranging from the lush and soaring sounds of wyd:syd and the experimental music of sub:shaman, to pop-punk quartet Orange Cove and tuneful rockers Mannequins. Also on the bill are rock 'n' roll band Black Cat, instrumental outfit of time & the city, Swiss-Singapore trio Suasion and cross-genre band The Lazulites.

FASHION SPOTLIGHT WITH THE BAG RAIDERS

Tonight, the W Singapore hotel will host the official Audi Fashion Festival after-party with an exclusive DJ set by Australian dance-pop duo Bag Raiders. Since forming in 2006, duo Jack Glass and Chris Stracey have been making waves in the dance music arena, producing disco-dancing electro-pop tunes and remixing for artists including Cut Copy and The Ting Tings. There will also be a catwalk show by Singapore-based fashion label Kae Hana.

Post-progressive home-grown rockers Anechois are playing a show on home ground before they fly to Miyagi for the start of their tour in Japan (The title of the gig, Nihon Ni Ikou Yo, means "Let's Go Japan" in Japanese). To help send them off, their fellow musical compatriots Paris In The Making, Silhouette, Sphaeras and sub:shaman are also on the bill.
