Hollywood stars Zachary Quinto and Rupert Friend are here to shoot scenes for Agent 47, a movie based on the Hitman video game series.

So far, the cast and crew have been spotted at iconic Singapore locations such as Gardens by the Bay and Chinatown.

British actor Friend is known for being in films such as The Young Victoria (2009) and the television series Homeland, while the American Quinto came to fame with the TV series Heroes and went on to star in the Star Trek franchise as Spock and in the Oscar-nominated stock market drama Margin Call (2011).

According to website thelocationguide.com, 20th Century Fox kicked off the shoot in Germany earlier this year, before moving production to Singapore. Much of the photography here is taking place at the soundstages of Infinite Studios.

The Agent 47 production is the first from a major Hollywood studio to use Infinite Studios, which launched officially in January this year. The facilities are located at the as-yet-uncompleted Mediapolis hub, located off Portsdown Road. So far, the soundstages have hosted Hi-5, an Australian children's programme.

Agent 47, listed as having a release date in March next year, is the second film based on the game franchise, which features bald assassins with bar codes tattooed on the back of their heads. The first movie, Hitman (2007), starred Timothy Olyphant as Agent 47.

In the new film, helmed by first-time feature film director Aleksander Bach, Friend takes on the title role of Agent 47 and Quinto plays a character called John Smith. Two British actors Ciaran Hinds from Game Of Thrones and Hannah Ware (Oldboy, 2013), also feature.
