Two short films from Singapore have made it to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival's Cinefondation Selection.

Last Trip Home by Han Fengyu, from Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Diploma in Film, Sound & Video course, and Oh Lucy! by Atsuko Hirayanagi from NYU Tisch School of the Arts Asia are among the 16 films chosen from the 1,631 submitted from film schools around the world.

The three Cinefondation Prizes will be awarded on May 22. Previous short films from Singapore at Cannes include Anthony Chen's Ah Ma and Pok Yue Weng's superDONG in 2007 and Jow Zhi Wei's After The Winter in 2013.
