Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan is the world's second-richest actor with a fortune of US$600 million (S$752 million), according to a survey.
He was beaten to the top spot by comic Jerry Seinfeld, 60, on a Hollywood and Bollywood Rich List released on Wednesday by Wealth-X, a Singapore-based wealth research firm. The survey estimated Seinfeld's fortune at US$820 million.
The company says Seinfeld's wealth increased with network syndication deals for his sitcom Seinfeld, giving him at least US$400 million in the fifth syndication agreement last year.
Khan, 48, has acted in more than 50 Bollywood films. His wealth also comes from his roles as a producer, TV host and co-owner of an Indian cricket club.
Hollywood star Tom Cruise, 51, is ranked third with US$480 million, while Tyler Perry, 44, and Johnny Depp, 50, each with US$450 million, are at No. 4 and 5. Also in the top 10 are Jack Nicholson, 77, Clint Eastwood, 83, and Tom Hanks, 57.
Wealth-X says it surveyed the wealthiest TV and movie actors from the United States and India. The combined personal fortunes of the stars on the list totalled US$4.68 billion.
