BEIJING - Chinese star Zhou Xun's boyfriend Archie Kao said in an interview he hoped they will marry at the the end of the year.

The interview with the Chinese American TV star, of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation fame, was posted on the actress' official Weibo page, Zhou Xun Studio, this afternoon.

Zhou announced their romance last week by posting a picture of themselves in Paris .

Kao, 44, said they would have dated a year by next month, and that they met at a friend's banquet.

Asked if it was love at first sight, he replied, "We had felt good about each other after first meeting each other."

He also said he has joined Zhou's agency, which will represent him in the Asia Pacific.

He said he did not realise she was a celebrity initially.

"At first, we did not Google each other. Now that I know (about her), I am proud of her," he said.

Asked about rumours that they will wed at the end of this year, he said, " Hope so!"
