My car's transmission is slipping between the second and third gear. What kind of repair is necessary?
Check the transmission fluid. If the transmission fluid is dark and smells burnt, you would need to have the transmission rebuilt or replaced.
If the fluid is clean and clear, you are probably looking at a failing shift solenoid.
