Peaches Honeyblossom Geldof was born in London to singer-songwriter Bob Geldof and television presenter Paula Yates. Her parents divorced when she was three, but she grew up pretty much in the media limelight.
She wrote columns for Elle Girl magazine and the Daily Telegraph newspaper; dabbled in modelling; and wrote and presented television shows.
Her mother died from a drug overdose in 2000 when Peaches was just 11 years old.
But police have said that the 25-year-old's death, though "sudden" and "unexplained", was not suspicious and that there were "no hard drugs, no suicide note, no visible signs of injury" when she was found in her Kent home.
She leaves two young sons Astala, 23 months, and Phaedra, almost a year old, and is survived by her husband singer Thomas Cohen.
