London - Media mogul Rupert Murdoch has opened up about his divorce last November from ex-wife Wendi Deng, saying he moved to end the marriage "a week" after learning of her alleged infidelity.
In an interview with Fortune magazine, he was asked what he thought of her alleged diary entries about other men, including former British prime minister Tony Blair, which were published by Vanity Fair magazine.
According to an excerpt on The Guardian, Mr Murdoch said: "I was shocked. But I didn't read them and I was not given them until after I had filed for divorce. I regret the whole Vanity Fair thing. I wish we just could have got divorced quietly."
Without naming Mr Blair, Mr Murdoch said he first heard of Ms Deng's alleged secret weekends at his family's ranch in the United States while he was in Australia.
