While some Hello Kitty fans queue hours to get their hands on the cat, 58-year-old Connie Sim spent over $1.7 million on renovations and buying collectibles to create a Hello Kitty shrine in her own home.

The avid fan visits Japan and Hong Kong regularly to hunt down Hello Kitty collectibles. Her $500,000 collection includes figurines, stuffed toys, electric guitars and even toilet seat covers.
