Activities galore at DBS Marina Regatta

Most of the activities at the DBS Marina Regatta are free, except for the stand-up paddling and yoga sessions.

Fight the munchies

At the DBS Food Village by Savour, open from 11am to 10pm, grab small bites such as chicken wings ($10) from restaurant-cum-wine bar Bistro 1855; crab and celery salad ($12) from Seasonal Salad Bar; spicy tuna maki ($8) from Kinki Restaurant and Bar; and hamburgers ($15) from French-European brasserie Picotin. For a more filling meal, there is also rotisserie chicken ($12) from Belgian restaurant Brussels Sprouts; fish and chips with curry tartare sauce ($12) from Highlander cafe; and a beef rendang rice box ($12) from restaurant Table at 7.

Catch a movie

Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire tonight, 7.30pm; and How To Train Your Dragon 2, tomorrow, 7.30pm.

Flex those green fingers

Learn how to grow organic food and medicinal plants at free workshops by social enterprises Edible Garden City and Comcrop, 20 people a session on a first-come-first-served basis.

When: Tomorrow, 2 and 4pm; June 6 and 7, 2, 3 and 4pm

Get moving

Scale a 7.2m-high rock wall, try a 30m flying fox (afternoons till 7pm), tumble around in a zorb ball in the pool (June 13 and 14, 1 to 3pm). Stand-up paddling activities ($12 an hour) and stand-up yoga ($25 an hour) from June 11 to 14. To register, go to the Facebook page for SUP In The City. You can also join the Deaf Dragons team and take part in simulated dragonboat races on indoor ergometer machines. For every 1km paddled, DBS will donate $100 to organisations which run sports activities for the disabled. Register at www.dbsmarinaregatta.com .

For the kids

Children can create Google logos with fancy designs (tomorrow, June 6 and 7), or sculpt balloons and do face-painting (June 6 and 7).

Retail therapy

The flea market features items including baked goods, books, handicrafts, cajon drums and cycling equipment. Participants include social enterprises such as music company Beat'abox Group, bicycle shops Creed Cycle and Bamboobee, online shops Indie Mama and TeddyThotz, and Better Barista Coffee Academy.
