I refer to All Pumped Up For Opera by Akshita Nanda (Life, July 26). I applaud her for giving me an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at the opera scene here.

The community faces similar challenges to those of the Chinese opera scene. It is a relief to read about first-generation practitioners adapting to the times and making their productions more accessible to a bigger audience.
