Ornate necklaces and opulent rings are not the only things dazzling visitors at this year's Singapore JewelFest, which started last Friday and will end on Sunday.

On display at the annual jewellery exhibition are two bejewelled lingerie sets: the first, by German jeweller Hans D. Krieger Fine Jewellery, features 3,181 brilliant cut diamonds worth 99.85 carats, 22 red and pink tourmalines worth 157.02 carats and 18K palladium white gold. The set is priced at $925,500.

Another creation by German designer Esther Stella Scherer of Esvara Viva features a crimson lingerie set embellished with 18K white gold and 6.4 carats of white diamonds. It costs $35,000.

The lingerie sets are an exclusive collaboration organised by the Singapore JewelFest between German lingerie brand Triumph and the two jewellers.

Director of Triumph International Doy Teo said: "With Triumph's heritage rooted in Germany, we share the same values as the two brands - subtle elegance and quality work."

Both jewellers worked on different lingerie pieces from Essence, Triumph's autumn 2015 collection.

Hans D. Krieger Fine Jewellery took inspiration from Sugar, the female protagonist and seductress in Michel Fabers' Victorian-era novel The Crimson Petal And The White. Precious gems embellish a light blue camisole and boyshort panty, and was designed to accentuate the curves of the body.

Scherer is known for drawing inspiration from heritage sites. She incorporated 16 symbols into her bra and underwear set for German label Esvara Viva, titled United In Diversity. Each symbol represents the different cultures of the world.

"Each icon, inspired by various unique historiographies, is a tribute to Unesco heritage sites. Each jewellery symbol is meant to bestow beneficial energy upon the person wearing it," said Ms Scherer.

Both sets are on display at the Jewel Pavilion, Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza.

• Singapore JewelFest is on at the Jewel Pavilion at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza. It ends on Sunday. It is open from noon to 8pm daily. Admission is free.
