Chindonya - Traditional Japanese Street Performance

Chindonya is originally a form of street advertising that originated in the Edo period, where musicians were engaged to promote products on the streets. The performers used an instrument called the chindon, which is made up of two drums and a gong. These traditional Japanese street performances by The Adachi Company will feature the chindon along with a clarinet and a saxophone. Part of Super Japan - Japanese Festival of Arts.

Singtel-Singapore Cancer Society Race Against Cancer 2016

The annual Singtel-Singapore Cancer Society Race Against Cancer is back for the eighth year. The race will feature two competitive categories - the 10 and 15km Competitive Run - and a 5km Fun Run. The event aims to raise awareness of cancer and the services Singapore Cancer Society provides. The society hopes to raise $1.1 million from the race.
