Boudoir Noire Presents The Box is a welcome addition to an increasingly staid F1 entertainment calendar of top 40 pop stars and DJs, even though old fogeys like me are not naturally inclined towards its "more progressive" risque brand of theatre.

I am, however, surprised that the show will be held at the prim and proper environs of the new Capitol Theatre, and not, say, at Haw Par Villa.

What can be more deliciously immersive, voyeuristic and "sinful" than Haw Par Villa's 10 Courts of Hell?

Haw Par Villa is a uniquely Singaporean experience and deserves to be given a new lease of life with some edgy programming, such as an annual Victoria's Secret runway show comprising top Asian models during the F1 season, getai performances throughout the Hungry Ghost Festival and an adults-only B&B - all in a Fellini-esque circus- like setting.
