The Straits Times' new food website, straitstimesfood.com, is celebrating the holiday season with more gifts.

This week, there are four more prizes, valued at a total of almost $4,000, up for grabs.

Win one-night stays at hotels Mandarin Oriental Singapore and Grand Copthorne Waterfront, a meal for six people at Hua Ting Steamboat and a catering package for 20 people from Purple Sage.

For details on how to enter, go to straitstimesfood.com.

In this week's contest series, ST Food has partnered Purple Sage to give away a buffet package for 20 people worth up to $1,000.

Its co-founder Chris Loh says: "The Straits Times food section has always been full of interesting things and features restaurants that are worth paying a visit. We are certain that the new online portal will reach out to an even wider audience, especially with more readers going digital."

ST Food has also teamed up with the Millennium Hotels and Resorts group once again, for more meals and staycations for readers.

Mr Richard Ong, general manager of Orchard Hotel Singapore, one of the group's hotels, says: "As Singapore's main English newspaper, ST connects people through their stories and events. ST Food is another clever initiative that draws the foodie community together and engages it in a topic that is close to every Singaporean's heart - food.

"Moreover, in an increasingly digitised world, being online and on social media is the new norm. Information is available at the touch of a button, so it is important for us to stay connected and engaged through this medium."

Earlier this month, the ST Food website kicked off its launch with a series of foodie giveaways in collaboration with various partners.

The treats included everything from green tea latte to salted egg snacks. These items were given to readers who liked @StraitsTimes Food on Facebook.

Last week, readers also won staycations at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore and M Social Singapore, and dinners at two-Michelin-starred restaurant Shisen Hanten at Mandarin Orchard hotel. Each SMS contest entry costs $0.21.

ST Food features a useful search function as well as restaurant, cafe and hawker food reviews and recommendations.

There is also a dedicated section for recipes and a social media feed that gives readers direct access to ST food writers Wong Ah Yoke and Tan Hsueh Yun's Instagram accounts.

Go online for exclusive content such as videos, listicles and stories from ST's sister publications The Business Times and The New Paper, as well as international publications.
