Korean fried chicken may be all the rage, but you can get Southern-style fried chicken at Chix Hot Chicken on the periphery of the Arab Street neighbourhood.

Taking over the space formerly occupied by The Lab cafe, the Muslim-owned fried chicken joint is run by entertainer Taufik Batisah and Bober Ismail, former co-executive chef at the short-lived Life Is Beautiful restaurant in Duxton Road.
