The latest restaurant from the Sushi Tei Group, Matsukiya prides itself on skewers of premium ingredients such as wagyu ribeye and foie gras, cooked atop binchotan (white charcoal), meant to bring out the natural flavours of the ingredients without masking them with heavy smoke.
The restaurant offers three set lunches, including the $25++ set lunch (right), which comes with an appetiser of the day, followed by miso soup, three skewers and Gobou Gohan - burdock root rice made with dashi and pickles.
