The Emmanuel Stroobant restaurants have new set lunch menus. Saint Pierre's features starters such as braise petits gris escargot and momotaro tomato confit. Choices for mains include Atlantic salmon confit and soya-marinated prime US grass-fed beef rib eye. Shoukouwa sushi restaurant's Lunch Omakase menu has choices varying from extra appetisers to more servings of sashimi and cooked dishes.

Mexican Fiesta At Axis Bar & Lounge

Putien's $3.90 Dim Sum

Putien is offering dim sum at $3.90++ at its Ion Orchard outlet. Among the items listed are stewed September pearls (soya beans) with gluten, braised kelp, jellyfish salad, pig's stomach with eight treasures stuffing and squid in fermented red rice wine. Also try Putien guo bian hu, a rice noodles dish with vegetables, pork slices and shrimps; and Heng Hwa bee hoon; as well as Putien jian bao and deep-fried oyster cakes. For dessert, have steamed golden cake, steamed white rice cake topped with wolfberries, sweet potato bun and sweet potato patty.

Baby Food Too At Rasa Sentosa's Silver Shell Cafe

The Silver Shell Cafe at Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa has diners of all ages in mind. Besides the six interactive open-kitchen theatres, there is a kids' buffet corner. The Clan Restaurant Revamps Menu

New signature dishes at The Clan Restaurant have less common ingredients, such as quail (right) and young lamb. Gastronomic Journey Of Shikoku At Keyaki

Master chef Hiroshi Ishii has brought to Pan Pacific Singapore's Keyaki the best of Shikoku, with delicacies that he sourced from his visit to the various prefectures. The Sawachi (Kochi Prefecture) includes a mix of seasonal seafood and vegetables in the platter, including grilled lobster with cod roe sauce, deep-fried puffer fish, mini turban shell, bamboo shoot, tomato, grated radish with baby sardine, tuna roll sushi, sea eel sushi, edamame, fish cake, baked sweet potato and seared bonito. The Sanuki Udon (Kagawa), made from Sanukino Yume wheat, is best eaten cold with a dipping sauce or cooked in hot broth. Awa Beef (Tokushima) is best savoured teppanyaki-style or in shabu shabu. The mikan tai (Mandarin orange sea bream) from Ehime is a farmed fish that is fed a blend of traditional feed and oranges.

Mandarin Oriental Singapore's Melt Cafe will be presenting cuisine by Indian speciality chef Santosh Kumar this month. New Rice Dumplings From Mitzo

Mitzo Restaurant & Bar is introducing three rice dumplings, available for dine-in and takeaway, for the Dragon Boat Festival. The Truffle Kurobuta pork rice dumpling ($18++ a piece, serves two) is a modern take on the traditional pork dumpling. It contains premium Kurobuta pork, truffle-flavoured glutinous rice, charcoal powder, housemade truffle sauce, mushroom, chestnut, salted egg yolk and lotus seeds. The Red Yeast foie gras and duck rice dumpling ($20++ each, serves three to four) comes in traditional red yeast flavours with a slab of pan-fried foie gras, duck thigh meat and lotus seeds. The alkaline water dumpling comes in the form of Osmanthus Rice Dumping ($15++ a pair, for two to three) served with brown sugar and osmanthus honey.
