SINGAPORE - Experience a Christmas Wonderland in the tropics at the Supertree Grove at Gardens by the Bay from Nov 29 to Dec 21.

Highlights at the event include light sculptures from Italy; a European-style festive market with food offerings from crepes to pulled pork rolls with apple slaw; and a stunning two-century-old Dutch Spiegeltent or travelling mirrored tent made of wood, canvas and stained glass which will be transformed into a restaurant.

There will also be dance performances and stilt walkers, as well as a gazebo from where choirs will sing carols.

The festive market will feature a total of 19 vendors including French cafe Saybons, known for its soups and crepes, patisserie chain Bakerzin, ice cream sandwich company The Ice Cream & Cookie Co., and gourmet food supplier and retail shop Culina which will be selling panettones and gingerbread, among other items.

Local award-winning pastry chef Janice Wong of 2am:dessert bar in Holland Village will be setting up an eponymous pop-up shop - a peek into her new retail line of sweets and confections that will range from edible marshmallow and chocolate paintings, to cakepops and lollipops.

Organiser Blue Sky Events expects some 400,000 visitors to attend the three-week-long carnival.
