Former Corner House chef Jason Tan to open his own restaurant in Tras Street

SINGAPORE - His new restaurant is in Tras Street, lined with shophouses and far away from the Botanic Gardens, but gastro-botanica will remain the focus of chef Jason Tan's cuisine.

The 38-year-old has left Corner House at the gardens and will be opening his own restaurant in September. He and an overseas investor have equal shares and they are collectively putting a high six-figure sum into the venture.
