Famous wonton stall Kok Kee re-opens in Lavender food court

SINGAPORE - Popular wonton mee stall Kok Kee has re-opened after a half-year hiatus, and loyal patrons are already queueing for the noodles.

Formerly at the Lavender Food Square, it closed late last year as the Food Square was to be demolished for a new development.

The stall is now located just down the road at the Lavender Food Hub @ Zhuge Liang in Hoa Nam Building.

The prices have gone up by 50 cents, and the noodles now cost between $4.50 and $5.50 a bowl, Shin Min Daily News reported.

There were at least 10 people in the queue when a Shin Min reporter visited at dinner time on Wednesday.

Lavender Food Square was a haunt of foodies and many famous hawkers were forced to move when it closed.
