SINGAPORE - The Famous Kitchen in Sembawang Road is a seafood restaurant that serves everything from black pepper crab and frog legs done in various ways, to Kuala Lumpur-style Hokkien mee and Cantonese-style poached kampung chicken.
The restaurant, which opened 10 years ago, is run by Mr Jeffrey Foo, 56, and his two sisters. It is a winner in the bronze category of the Best Asian Restaurants awards, organised and presented by The Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao.
Watch the video and drool over three of the eatery's signature offerings: Lobster Bee Hoon; Salted-Baked Flower Crabs, which are fried and wok-baked for 15 minutes in a mixture of salt and butter; and Sour Vegetables Steamed Fish, steamed live red grouper served in a tangy gravy topped with roast pork belly, peanuts and salted vegetables.
