British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver's family-friendly restaurant Jamie's Italian is heading to Orchard Road. The second restaurant will open in the third quarter of the year at Forum The Shopping Mall.

It will serve its signature freshly-made pasta, thin-crust pizza and salads. The bar section will also serve a variety of cocktails, wine and beer.

The restaurant chain started in 2008 in Oxford, England, in partnership with Oliver's Italian chef-mentor Gennaro Contaldo. There are now more than 50 restaurants worldwide.

The first Jamie's Italian opened here at VivoCity in July 2013 - a collaboration with Singapore property group Hotel Properties.

Come April 23, the VivoCity outlet will roll out a new menu of homey Italian favourites, under its new Italian-born head chef Alessandro Laconi.
