NEW BALANCE 580 20TH ANNIVERSARY POP-UP GALLERY AT *SCAPE

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of its 580 sneaker, New Balance has opened a pop-up store at *Scape Orchard (above).

Open till June 17, it showcases past limited-edition models done in collaboration with sneaker stores around the world as well as streetwear brands such as Stussy and Undefeated.

The 580 shoe silhouette debuted in 1996 as an off-road trail running shoe but quickly became a fashion favourite in 2000, after New Balance collaborated with Japanese brands Mita Sneakers and Hectic on the MT580 shoe.

Two decades later, the brand is collaborating with Mita Sneakers again on the New Balance MRT580 sneakers (below), which will be launched at the pop-up on Saturday. Mr Tetsuya Shono, global director of sports style at New Balance and Mr Shigeyuki Kunii, creative director of Mita Sneakers, will be at the launch.

Only 24 pairs of the New Balance MRT580 sneakers are available for sale at $229.

Every purchase of the limited- edition sneakers on Saturday will come with a limited-edition 580-branded cap and lace locks.

A range of sneakers from the Spring/Summer 2016 collection will also be sold at the pop-up, with prices from $149 to $229.

The New Balance 580 20th anniversary pop-up store is located at *Scape, 2 Orchard Link, 02-15, open daily from 11am to 9.30pm until July 17.

GIVENCHY'S NEW LIPSTICK COLLECTION INCLUDES COLOUR-CHANGING SHADE

French luxury label Givenchy has launched a new lipstick line that includes a shade that can change colour.

The Rouge Interdit Vinyl range contains 16 colours including Noir Revelateur (above, left), a black shade with a formula that reacts to the pH level on the lips.

The smooth lipstick changes colour when it comes into contact with the skin, turning from a sheer black into different shades of mauve or plum.

When the special shade is applied on top of another, it also creates a visually denser and darker colour. The slightly glossy lipstick also contains black rose oil, which the label says will keep lips moisturised.

The Rouge Interdit Vinyl lipstick ($48) is available at all Givenchy cosmetic counters.
