Topshop's New Face
It girl Gigi Hadid has been selected as the new face of high street label Topshop's Autumn- Winter campaign. Topshop's previous campaigns involved other models du jour, such as Cara Delevingne.
The campaign was styled by Topshop creative director Kate Phelan and shot by acclaimed photographer Tyrone Lebon.
Comfort for the sole
If you thought FitFlops could not get any more comfortable, you are wrong.
The British footwear brand has unveiled its new sole technology, the SupercomFF midsoles, at its recently opened pop-up here outside Robinsons The Heeren.
The new SupercomFF collection comprises shoes that are slimmer and sleeker. The new sole uses dual-density EVA, which is an elastic polymer. It is thinner than the original Microwobbleboard sole, which is made of triple-density EVA.
The new collection comes in metallic hues as well as muted neutrals such as brown, black and grey. The shoes are priced from $199.90 to $229.90.
Aside from the new SupercomFF collection, the pop-up will also carry Microwobbleboard designs. Prices from $109.90 to $229.90.
The pop-up ends on Aug 23.
Graffiti on make-up
Shu Uemura's latest make-up collection, Haute Street, takes its cues from bold street art.
For inspiration, the brand's international artistic director Kakuyasu Uchiide turned to the colourful graffiti of New York-based artist Oyama Enrico Isamu Letter, a prominent figure in Tokyo's underground art scene.
Emblazoned with Letter's signature graffiti motifs, the new line includes two colourful eyeshadow palettes, four lip and cheek tints, and two double-edged eye colour pencils. Prices start from $33 for a lipstick.
Huntsman in town
Want to look like the sharply suited spies in the movie Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014, starring Colin Firth?
Hunstman, the Savile Row tailor featured in the film, will be sending senior cutter Robert Bailey to Singapore for a trunkshow at menswear store Colony Clothing in UE Square.
The trunkshow will be held from Sept 7 to 9, during which you can get measured for a suit. Prices for bespoke suits start from £5,000 (S$11,010). Huntsman has been dressing royalty, heads of state and celebrities for 160 years.
American beauty brand Fresh launched its iconic Rose Face Mask ($95) 15 years ago.
To mark this occasion, a limited- edition jar covered with pretty blooms by popular London- based illustrator Jo Ratcliffe is now available at the Fresh store at Ion Orchard and all Sephora stores. Ratcliffe has worked on projects with Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo, Kenzo and Barneys New York.
The hydrating gel mask is made with rosewater and the petals of roses from Isparta, Turkey.
From now till the end of this month, spend $150 at the Fresh store and receive three 20ml jars of masks - the Sugar Face Polish, Rose Face Mask and Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask - worth $70.
