LONDON • Naomi Campbell has appeared on the cover of British Vogue 38 times.

Now, she has been roped in as a contributing editor for the magazine by its new editor.

The announcement comes amid a hoo-ha triggered by former fashion director Lucinda Chambers, who said she was given the sack without warning.

Campbell, 47, also reportedly had to deal with unhappiness - over Rihanna's love life.

The 29-year-old singer was photographed with Saudi businessman Hassan Jameel, also 29, in a swimming pool in Spain last month.

He had dated Campbell last year. There were media reports of Jameel and Campbell attending a Stevie Wonder concert at Hyde Park.

The Spain photos lend credence to fans' speculation over why Campbell and Rihanna, once close buddies, have had a falling out, reported InTouch Weekly.

Though the duo have never talked about the issue, eagle-eyed fans noted that they had unfollowed each other on social media and commented that Campbell never likes coming out second-best.
