To hear actor and first-time father Ashton Kutcher tell it, choosing a name for one's child is both the hardest and the easiest thing in the world.
Wyatt Isabelle Kutcher, his daughter with actress Mila Kunis born on Oct 1, was given her name after much agonising and, then, in a completely random moment of inspiration.
The 36-year-old actor on Tuesday appeared as a guest on the talkshow Conan to recount the events leading up to the "Wyatt" epiphany. He and Kunis had apparently decided on another name but she felt one night while she was still pregnant that it was not the right fit for the vibes she was feeling.
Then they went to a basketball game together and he started acting silly.
He told talkshow host Conan O'Brien: "I had to get the creative juices going, so we were going to a Lakers game, and I just started listing off anything and everything I saw: 'sign', 'truck', 'wall', 'door'… She (was) like, 'Shut up!' Then I was like, 'I've got a really dumb idea. What about Wyatt?' She goes, 'That's it.'"
The child's middle name came about a lot more regularly - "Isabelle" is a tribute to Kunis' grandfather, Yitzhak, which is Hebrew for Isaac.
