SINGAPORE - Two Singaporean animated projects have secured nominations at the upcoming International Emmy Kids Awards.

One Animation series Oddbods, which follows the adventures of a group of beings dressed in colourful fur suits known as Oddbods, is up for an award in the Kids: Animation category, while Shahrukh & Warsan from The Big Shots LLP is up for a prize in the Kids: Series category.

Shahrukh & Warsan is in Malay, and is the first Singaporean Malay production to be nominated at the International Emmy Kids Awards.

The nominations were announced earlier this week by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences at a press conference at Mipcom. In total, there are 28 nominees in 7 categories, with nominations spanning 16 countries including Argentina, Germany and South Korea.

Winners will receive their award at Miptv in Cannes, France, on April 10 next year.
