A bright spark has created a dazzling work. Last week, Yomiuriland amusement park in western Tokyo switched on an illumination display that uses 5.5 million light-emitting diodes (LEDs). World-renowned lighting designer Motoko Ishii is behind the Jewellumination event. The LED lights give an impression of jewels that have been scattered among the trees and shrubs, as well as on a massive Ferris wheel. There is also a waterworks show synced with lights and music. The event is on until Feb 18.
