LOS ANGELES • Yet another Hollywood power couple bit the dust on Tuesday as Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog announced their separation, conveniently setting a new dynamic for a revival of television show The Muppets.
Miss Piggy said on her Facebook page that the characters' "personal lives are now distinct and separate, and we will be seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al. This is our only comment on this private matter... unless we get the right offer".
The revival of The Muppets, airing next month, will follow the much- loved characters behind the scenes of Miss Piggy's new late-night show in the manner of a mockumentary, Variety said.
2. GWEN STEFANI AND GAVIN ROSSDALE
NEW YORK • One of rock music's prominent couples, No Doubt's Gwen Stefani and Bush's Gavin Rossdale, said on Monday that they are divorcing after 13 years of marriage.
Stefani, 45, met Rossdale, 49, when she toured with Bush. In a 2010 interview with Details magazine, he said he "threw a party in New Orleans just as an excuse to hang out with her" during the tour.
They have asked for joint custody of their sons, Kingston, nine, Zuma, six, and Apollo, one, celebrity websites TMZ.com and People said.

3. ZAYN MALIK AND PERRIE EDWARDS
LOS ANGELES • First he left his band, now he has left his fiancee. Former One Direction singer Zayn Malik contacted Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards two weeks ago and called off their engagement, said People magazine.
The singers, both 22, got engaged in 2013.
