Next week, four Methodist Girls' School students will fly to Auckland to compete in the world finals of the Kids' Lit Quiz, an annual literature competition for children aged 10 to 13.

The students must answer questions about literature across genres, ranging from classics to comics and children's literature to contemporary novels.

The four students, 13-year- olds Erin Chan, Hua Xuan Ying, Elizabeth Chua and Tricia Chee, competed against 88 other teams to win the top prize in the POSB-NLB Kids' Lit Quiz.

In a new episode of That's Life podcast which airs tomorrow, host Lydia Vasko talks to the girls and their teacher, Ms Christina Loong, about where their love of reading began and how they prepared for the challenging quiz.
