TAIPEI - Taiwanese magician Lu Chen, 38, has confirmed his marriage to Chinese model Ariel Wang, 28.

His hand forced by rumours about his secret marriage, he posted a confirmation on Weibo on Tuesday. A photo of him and his magically floating bride was shared with a caption that read: "The system is automatically forwarding wedding news".

His agent confirmed that the couple had registered their marriage, but declined to disclose details about their wedding plans, said China Times.

The couple have dated for more than two years, after meeting at a gathering of friends, said the report. The bride is a third-generation member of the family behind Family Li Imperial Cuisine, a prominent restaurant with outlets in and out of China.
