The eWallet payment system used at the Guns N' Roses concert last Saturday received $140,000 in pre-concert top- ups, says Sandpiper Digital Payments Asia.

The company, which provided the cashless payment system at the concert held at Changi Exhibition Centre, says concertgoers may now apply for a refund for unused credit if they topped up their iGO eWallets up to 48 hours before the concert.

Refunds will be made to customers' credit cards and will take five to 10 working days to show up in the cardholders' accounts. Concertgoers may also leave the credits in their accounts for use in future events using the iGo eWallets system, such as at hip-hop block party Summerdaze on March 19 or the Singapore Yacht Show held from April 6 to 9.

But there is still no news on refunds for unused cash credits for concertgoers who exchanged their tickets for RFID wristbands and topped them up with cash at the venue just before the concert.

About 50,000 fans attended the concert, which was Guns N' Roses' first in Singapore.

After the concert, disgruntled concertgoers inundated social media with complaints about long queues for food, drinks and transportation, as well as issues with RFID wristbands used for cashless purchases of food and drinks.

An update published on LAMC Productions' Facebook page on Thursday said the company was still working with Sandpiper to sort out the repayment process for the unused credits.

In an earlier update, posted the day after the concert, LAMC pledged to refund the unspent RFID credits and urged customers to keep their RFID wristbands.
