Snoopy gets star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

LOS ANGELES (REUTERS) - Snoopy puts his stamp in Hollywood by becoming the first beagle to earn a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The lovable character played "Joe Cool" as it was honoured on Monday (Nov 2) as a Hollywood icon with its very own star.

Beloved since 1950, Snoopy's credits include 45 television specials, four motion picture films and one Saturday morning TV show.

It will  next be seen starring in The Peanuts Movie, where it and its pals, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus and the rest of the beloved Peanuts gang will appear in the state-of-the-art 3D animation full length movie.

In the film, Charlie Brown, the world's most beloved underdog, embarks upon an epic and heroic quest, while his best pal, the lovable beagle Snoopy, takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis, the Red Baron.

The Peanuts Movie opens in the United States on Friday (Nov 6).
