Rapper C Jamm probed over marijuana use

SEOUL • South Korean rapper C Jamm's career is in danger of going up in smoke.

On Monday, police said the 25-year-old had been arrested and was being investigated for marijuana use. Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency revealed that C Jamm and another man were taken into custody on April 13 for possessing and smoking marijuana.

The rapper is currently being held in Suwon Detention Centre, reported The Korea Herald.

Six more suspects, including rapper Vasco, are also being investigated though they are not under detention.

According to the police, C Jamm had used marijuana at his home in Seodaemun-gu, western Seoul, starting in May 2015.

The police, acting on a tip-off, searched his house and found 29g of the drug.

According to the police, C Jamm had admitted to all the charges against him. Drug tests also turned out positive while the supplier is thought to have left the country.
