Rebecca Lim may have auditioned three times for the role of the socialite heiress Astrid in last year's hit Crazy Rich Asians, which eventually went to British actress Gemma Chan, but that does not mean she is looking to shift her focus away from local entertainment.

The Mediacorp actress says: "It's not necessarily a good thing to leave (the) local entertainment (scene). I think if everyone aims to (do that), then the quality of it will never improve."
