HONG KONG - Chinese actress Tang Wei, 36, is expecting a Monkey baby with her husband of two years, South Korean director Kim Tae Yong, 46, her agency announced on Friday.

Hong Kong's Edko Films made the announcement on Weibo, by sharing a photo of Tang's social media post, which read: "Dear friends, Tae Yong and Tang Tang have got good news for the new year, we're waiting for the arrival of a naughty little monkey."

The post included an ink drawing of a monkey by Tang's father, who signed himself "Monkey's Grandfather".

Tang, the star of Lust, Caution (2007), married Kim after he directed her in Late Autumn (2010). She is due in Beijing next month to publicise her new movie, Finding Mr Right 2.
