Singer Gabrielle Evelena Ferdinandswill perform with her father, 57-year-old Singaporean musician Mel Ferdinands, at the Esplanade Recital Studio on Sept 5.

The duo, who have performed together several times, will sing hits from the 1950s to 1980s.

Tickets are available at $12 from Sistic.

Ms Ferdinands, 29, performs regularly at Sunset Bayin East Coast Park, a restaurant owned by her mother. She lives in a condominium in Changi with her mother who is divorced from her father, uncle, cousin, boyfriend and a pet corgi named Bitty.

Do you have a regular weekend? Not really - it's quite flexible.

On the weekends if I'm not performing at my mum's restaurant, I'd be helping her out there.

When you have a weekend free, what do you do?

I enjoy board games and movie trivia games. I'm also into escape room games recently. Otherwise, I enjoy doing arts and crafts, such as making scrapbooks. I'd also play Rock Band on my PlayStation with my friends. I don't like crowds, so I don't go out much.

Any favourite restaurants?

Sunset Bay because I'm there most often (laughs). And Going OM at 63 Haji Lane - it's a quaint cafe and I like the music there.

What are your hobbies?

I've been interested in the supernatural for about five or six years now and I watch a lot of YouTube videos on paranormal investigations. My boyfriend has his own channel on YouTube, Ghost Files Singapore, and we're planning something where I'll join in the investigation.

If you could hang out with anybody, dead or alive, who would it be?

Michael Jackson, for sure. We'd jump on a trampoline for hours, talk about music and maybe sing a duet. A close second would be Freddie Mercury, the late lead singer of Queen. I'd get him to teach me how to sing like him.

If you could go somewhere for a weekend, where would it be?

Santorini, Greece. It's beautiful and it's on my bucket list. I'd like to get lost there.
