When Hong Kong action superstar and onscreen gongfu master Donnie Yen is at home, it is his wife who calls the shots.

The Ip Man star, 52, told local reporters at a press conference on Friday morning (Jan 15): "It's all about 'happy wife, happy life'. I think it's important that men be more tolerant and gentlemanly, so I listen to my wife. Besides, she always makes the better and more thoughtful decisions for our family, so I trust her completely."

His wife, former beauty queen Cecilia Wang, 34, was in Singapore with him to talk about their new roles as brand ambassadors for Resorts World Sentosa. The couple have two children, James, eight, and Jasmine, 12.

Mrs Yen, who was seated beside him at the press event, laughed and quipped: "For his own good, he should listen to me."
