Masa from popular Taiwanese band Mayday has tied the knot. The bassist, whose real name is Tsai Shen-yen, announced the good news on his official Facebook page at 5am on Nov 21. His wife is fashion designer Vicky Hsieh, reportedly around 36. The clientele for her KiiTO brand of leatherwear supposedly includes stars such as singer Elva Hsiao.

Their romance came to light last May when they were spotted together at a cafe. Masa later acknowledged the relationship with a Facebook post saying that he would "try hard to tightly hold on to and protect this tiny yet precious happiness".

According to reports, fans were wondering if he had secretly gotten married after he was seen wearing a band on the ring finger of his left hand when Mayday arrived in Beijing on Nov 20 for the premiere of the martial arts movie Rise Of The Legend.

Masa, 37, is the third member to get hitched after guitarist Stone and drummer Guan You. Lead vocalist Ashin and guitarist Monster are the remaining bachelors.

The bassist was previously linked to Malaysian singer Fish Leong. She later married a Taiwanese businessman in 2010.

The following was posted in Chinese on Masa's Facebook page.

"Hope that we can go hand in hand, and slowly walk towards the next stage of our lives.

It may be happier, may be sweeter, may be more contented, maybe it's hard to say,

But regardless, I know that our hands, now tightly entwined, will never let go.

A few days ago, accompanied by a few good friends, we registered our marriage.

We wrote each other's names on our identity cards, filling up the emptiness in the blank spouse column.

We have shared each other's joys and sorrows, and have comforted each when we were down and weak.

We have shared each other's lives, and apart from the quotidian, there have been unexpectedly moving moments.

We promise that in the days to come, we will carefully cherish this promise.

Thank you everyone."
