HONG KONG • They are going through the paperwork to get married, but here comes the baby speculation.

After it emerged on Monday that Heavenly King Aaron Kwok and model Moka Fang had filed a notice of intended marriage this month, newspapers such as Apple Daily followed yesterday with rumours that she is two months pregnant.

But Ming Pao Daily News said Fang, 29, had lately been posting photos of herself exercising, as if to pre-empt the speculation. One photo, posted on Sunday, was captioned: "Summer is coming, is everyone ready?"

If she is not pregnant now, she may soon be, however. Kwok, 51, is said to be keen to start a family while his aged mother is still around, reported Ming Pao.

Although he has been filming The Monkey King 3: Kingdom Of Women in China, he returned to Hong Kong to file the notice of intended marriage when he had some time off this month.

Before he starts on another movie in May, he is likely to have only a few days next month to wed and hold a low-key banquet, said Ming Pao.

In Hong Kong, couples have three months to register their marriages after they file notices of intended marriage.

Kwok's manager Leung May May declined to disclose more details on Monday, saying she had to respect his family's wishes for a "completely simple, low-key" affair.

"Aaron is only doing what a man of marriageable age does, so there's no fuss to be made," she added.

In 2015, Kwok lit up Weibo when he introduced Fang as his girlfriend. It is the first relationship he has actively acknowledged in more than three decades in show business.

On Monday, a former girlfriend, model Lynn Hung, 36, congratulated the couple through her manager. She was linked to Kwok for seven years before they broke up in 2013. She married businessman Ken Kwok last year.
