Beijing - Taiwanese actor Mark Chao, 29, has not put a ring on it yet, but he has made things official with Chinese actress Gao Yuanyuan, 34.
After dating for two and a half years, the couple registered their marriage in Beijing on Thursday, said NetEase website.
His agent confirmed the "happy day", adding that the couple were still discussing when to hold the wedding banquets.
The agent said the couple did not wear wedding rings on Thursday, as they planned to formalise their marriage again in Taiwan, reported Taiwan Apple Daily. The banquets will be held in Taiwan and China, and the bride is not pregnant, the agent added.
Chao and Gao's relationship blossomed around the time they starred in Chinese director Chen Kaige's film Caught In The Web. The movie was filmed in 2011. By the time it opened in 2012, the couple had been reported to have had a five-day rendezvous in a hotel and Chao had gone public with his romance with Gao, describing her as "the other half".
He won a Golden Bell Award for Best Actor for his television debut in the 2009 crime drama Black & White. He has starred in films including 2010's Monga and 2013's Young Detective Dee: Rise Of The Sea Dragon.
Her most recent hit is the 2013 television drama We Get Married.
