South Korean heart-throb Lee Jong Suk cut a dashing figure onscreen in his hit TV drama W (2016), but behind the scenes, filming the series was anything but glamorous, he says.

"I am a guy who sweats a lot, and when we were filming W, it was during very hot weather. So I don't remember much of the filming experience except for the fact that I was sweating a lot," he told Singapore media at a press conference held on Saturday (Nov 12).

At the 15-minute press event - held appropriately at W Hotel in Sentosa Cove - questions were not open to the floor, so he answered queries only from the emcee.

She asked him about the secret to his famously flawless complexion, to which he replied with a grin: "I don't have any secrets, but I tend to stay out of the sunlight as much as possible."

The 27-year-old was fielding questions ahead of his first fan meet here, which would be held at Megabox Convention Centre at Big Box that night.

As his fantasy TV series W features a love story happening across two different worlds - the real one and in a webtoon - the host wonders what realm he would wish to enter.

He ponders and says: "I love reading historical novels, so I would want to go to the world of the Three Kingdoms in China. That is very interesting to me and I would love to see what it is like to be General Lu Bu from that time."
