Out of respect for the sunken Sewol ferry disaster, South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun has cancelled his press conference that was to be held before his fan meeting here on Sunday, April 27. However, the Singapore fan meet as part of 2014 Kim Soo Hyun Asia Tour 1st Memories will go on as per scheduled.

The 26-year-old Kim, who achieved megastar fame after starring as the alien heartthrob in the hit drama My Love From The Star, was reportedly understated and sombre at promotional activities in Hong Kong and Vietnam.

In light of the fatal ferry tragedy, the entire country has rallied together with broadcasters stopping the airing of variety shows and artistes cancelling local performances in South Korea.
