Pop star Katy Perry roared at the Super Bowl half-time show on Sunday. She wowed the crowd with a mechanical lion, dancing sharks and by zipping around the University of Phoenix Stadium on a star-shaped platform.

With enthusiastic dancing during Teenage Dream and California Gurls, the pair of sharks have bitten off a good chunk of the attention with memes already swimming around on the Internet. Rapper Snoop Dogg also tweeted: "If you were wondering that was me in tha Shark costume!!"

But who was actually in those get-ups?

A call went out on popular social news site Reddit and one shark bit.

Dancer Scott Myrick answered and said that he has been with Perry for five years and has performed as a gingerbread man and a big purple cat. Photos of him in shark costume are up on his Instagram account @scott_myrick.

He also revealed that he was a horse chess piece earlier in the show and "had to change into the shark costume in 1:30 seconds".

As for visibility, he said: "Terrible. I ran into a palm tree but the camera missed it ;)"
